Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 11, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Google Leads Scraper (the "Extension", "we", "us" or "our"), provided by Boring Marketing, handles information when you use our free Chrome extension and this website. We have built Google Leads Scraper to do as much as possible on your own device, so that your data stays with you.
The short version
- Google Leads Scraper scrapes only business information that is already publicly visible on Google Maps and Google My Business listings.
- Scraping and CSV/JSON export happen locally, inside your own browser. When you download your results, nothing is uploaded to our servers.
- One optional feature, "Email me results when done," sends your leads to our servers so we can email them to you, and we keep a copy. This is how we fund the free tool. It is clearly disclosed in the extension and requires your one-time consent before any data leaves your device.
- We do not sell your data, and we do not sell scraped results.
- The Extension can send anonymous run statistics to the developer. This is disclosed below and you can opt out.
What the Extension collects
When you run a scrape, the Extension reads business information that is already publicly displayed in Google Maps search results. This typically includes fields such as business name, address, phone number, website, category, star rating and review count. This is public business information, not private personal data that you have asked us to store.
All of this reading and structuring happens on your device, in your browser, while you are viewing the results yourself. We do not receive a copy of the businesses you scrape.
Where your results go
Your scraped results are written to a file in your own Downloads folder. That local export stays entirely on your device, we receive no copy of it.
Separately, if you turn on the optional "Email me results when done" feature, the Extension sends your scraped leads and your email address to our backend. Our servers then (1) email the results to the inbox you provided, and (2) store a copy of the leads, which may be used to build and improve our own business lead database. This is how we keep the tool free. You consent to this the first time you use email delivery (a one-time acknowledgement shown in the Extension), and the behaviour is disclosed in plain text next to the option. If our backend is unavailable, delivery may fall back to a third-party email transport (Web3Forms) so you still receive your email. If you do not want your leads sent to or stored by us, leave this option off and use the local download instead.
Anonymous run statistics
To understand how the Extension is performing and to fix problems, the Extension can send the developer a small amount of anonymous run statistics, for example that a scrape ran, roughly how many rows it produced, the Extension version, and whether an error occurred. These statistics do not include the scraped business records themselves and are not used to identify you.
This is optional. You can opt out of sending run statistics in the Extension settings, and the Extension will continue to work normally.
Information this website collects
If you submit your email address through a form on this website (for example to create a free account or receive updates), we use it only to respond to you and to provide the service you requested. We do not sell it or share it for unrelated marketing.
How we use information
- To provide the Extension and its core scraping and export features.
- To deliver results to your own Downloads folder or your own email inbox when you request it.
- To diagnose errors and improve reliability, using the anonymous run statistics described above.
- To respond to you when you contact us for support.
What we do not do
- We do not sell your data or your scraped results.
- We do not build advertising profiles from your activity.
- We do not collect the businesses you scrape unless you opt into the email-delivery feature described above.
Data retention and deletion
Locally downloaded results live on your own device, so you control their retention, delete the exported files at any time. Anonymous run statistics are retained only as long as needed for reliability and product improvement, and contain no scraped records.
Leads you send through the optional email-delivery feature are stored on our servers as described above. Any individual or business can ask us to remove their contact information from our stored lead database, and we will suppress it, send suppression or deletion requests to the contact address below. If you have submitted your own email address to us (through the extension or a form on this website), you can ask us to delete it at any time.
Your rights (GDPR and CCPA)
Depending on where you live, you may have rights over the limited personal information we hold about you (such as an email address you gave us). These can include the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of that information, and the right to object to or restrict certain processing.
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), you have the right to know what personal information is collected and the right to deletion. We do not sell personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of in that respect. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the address below. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

Google Leads Scraper is a business tool intended for adults and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Not affiliated with Google
Google Leads Scraper is an independent tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Google LLC. Google, Google Maps, Google My Business and Gmail are trademarks of Google LLC.
